Turn your PSP into an auto audiovisual device with this simple yet effective setup. It converts the Intec desktop cradle into a charging car mount suitable for bringing the Playstation Portable on the road. Note that this setup involves plugging the audio into the car radio’s aux input — if you don’t have an aux in but you have a cassette deck, any of those cassette-style D/A convertors would do the trick as well. And of course, this technique is applied so that the passengers can enjoy the video, as the driver has more important things like, well, driving, as opposed to staring at a PSP screen — but we don’t have to tell you that, right?

Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s Gadget Bag:
Tetsuya Mizuguchi (aka ‘Miz’) is the creator of Rez and Lumines, arguably the first hit game for the Sony PSP. He’s started up a new blog on 1UP and it just so happens that his first post is very ‘What’s in My Gadget Bag’-like. None of the gear is too mind-boggling, but it’s still fun to read reflections on the social impact of gadgetry from one of videogaming’s most innovative designers. (Thanks, Ami B!)

Multiplayer PSP gaming with a single copy of the game:Cory Doctorow: Various PSP blogs and message-boards are carrying the news that you can share a single cartridge for multiplayer play by letting the game load in a PSP, removing the cart, and passing it on.
…[Y]ou do need to let the 1st PSP completely load into the game, and then only can you remove the game to place it into the second unit. Now on the second unit go to ad-hoc mode and find the server that is already started. Enter the game, which means load it, and now you can remove the disc if you wish to add a third or fourth unit into the game.
