Live from loin

Have fun.

Hydro-Foam: Flying R/C Boat:

Although the inventor seems a little stressed out (« Please do not email me ») he’s made a pretty fantastic thing, so we’re going to cut him some slack. The ‘Hydro-Foam’ R/C vehicles are currently prototypes, powered by a brushless motor and lithium-polymer batteries. What makes them so special is their ability to travel not only on the water, but through the air, and on the ground at serious speeds. And this isn’t a ‘park it and swap some parts thing.’ The videos show the Hydro-Foams moving from water to air to ground and back again with just a flick of the flaps.

They definitely look easy to destroy—creator Michael Connally’s website makes it clear that this is « not a beginner airplane »—but they will be available for purchase sometime in the future (sooner if you’d just leave Connally in peace). (Thanks, Spinelli!)

[Overheard in McDonald’s this morning]

Two little boys, approximately 4 or 5 years old, spy each other in line. Their mothers are holding their respective hands, staring straight ahead at the menu board with that dispassionate glazed look – like they’re pumping gas, or waiting for a dog to do its business.

Little boy #1: Hey! You get McDonald’s for breakfast too!
Little boy #2: Yeah! I’m getting pancakes! I thought I was never going to get pancakes again.
Little boy #1: How come? Your mom doesn’t make pancakes at home?
Little boy #2: No. I only get them here. And I didn’t think I was ever going to taste them again.
Little boy #1: How come?
Little boy #2*: Because after my little brother’s birthday party, my Mom said she’d rather take it up the ass than eat here ever again.

* Who, as he was being led back to a booth by his hysterically laughing mother, was fussing, “BUT I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!”

B00bs…

DoA movie to star up and coming babes:Devon Aoki

For many of you, this will be a dream come true. Yes, the gorgeous cast of fighters from the Dead or Alive franchise will soon be brought to life (via real life actresses) on the silver screen. The series’ lead, Kasumi, will be played by Devon Aoki the daughter of the Benihana Steakhouse mogul—you might be familiar with here previous work in 2 Fast 2 Furious. Directing duties will be handled by Cory Yuen (The Transporter & Romeo Must Die), and a producer from the first two Resident Evil movies is onboard. Yeehaw! You can get the full details by following the link below.
